During the 2010 holiday season, blood donors were given the option of foregoing the traditional t-shirt to have Kentucky Blood Center (KBC) give the value of the shirt to the Salvation Army. KBC gave the Salvation Army $4,405 on behalf of generous blood donors who chose this option. In addition, $637.19 was collected in Salvation Army kettles located at the KBC donor centers.

Thanks for giving twice, Kentucky!

Through the generosity of our blood donors, the Salvation Army was able to provide…

• Healthy snacks for four children
• Two meals for homeless women and children
• Gatorade and snacks for three firefighters
• A hat and gloves for a homeless person
