The Kentucky Blood Center is a community blood bank that relies on the generosity of thousands of blood donors and the businesses, government entities, schools, universities, churches and others who help to host nearly 3,000 blood drives annually. In addition, KBC operates four donor centers in Lexington, Somerset and Pikeville.

Through numerous community partners, the blood center is able to assure Kentucky patients that blood will be available when they need it. Our Community Partners take steps to help recruit blood donors and ensure the community remains vigilant in assuring a safe and adequate blood supply.
