Mobile blood drives make it convenient for people to donate blood closer to home, work or worship. They can be set up inside a building or conducted on a bloodmobile in a parking lot.
Blood drive chairpersons coordinate mobile blood drives. These dedicated volunteers are part of a unique group of individuals across the commonwealth who take a lead role in saving lives.
From deciding where to hold the blood drive (in a meeting room or on a bloodmobile) to promoting the drive to recruiting blood donor to greeting the Kentucky Blood Center staff on blood drive day, it takes about 14 weeks to organize and complete a blood drive.
KBC has a staff of friendly Donor Recruiters who would love to answer all your questions about hosting a blood drive. Click here to contact a Donor Recruiter.
