Celebrates 40 Years
Donor Will Win 2009 Toyota Camry LE
JULY 18, 2008The
Kentucky Blood Center, founded in 1968 as the Central Kentucky Blood
Center, will celebrate its 40th anniversary by giving away a 2009
Toyota Camry LE.
Blood donors have saved thousands of lives and we want to
celebrate the anniversary in a really special way, said KBC spokesperson Jim
Tinker.
KBC is partnering with Toyota South, Lex18 and Cumulus
Broadcasting 92.9 The Bear, News Talk 590 WVLK, Z-Rock 103 and Hot 102 in
the promotion to give away the top-selling car in America which is made in
Georgetown, Kentucky.

Can Give Blood

Beginning July 15, Kentucky
law allows 16-year-olds to donate blood with parental consent. Kentucky Blood
Center officials hail the change as a safe, prudent opportunity to expand the

Hours
Based on donor
surveys and an analysis of the actual donation times in the past
year, it was decided to change our operating hours. This will
meet donor needs at the center and enable our staff to conduct a
wider range of blood drives in the community.
