The majority of blood donations are made by generous volunteer blood donors for anonymous patients.

Kentucky Blood Center, however, does provide an opportunity for you to donate for yourself prior to surgery, for a loved one who will require a transfusion in the near future or to help replenish the blood supply in the name of a particular patient.

Kentucky Blood Center also offers services for patients who need medically prescribed phlebotomies.
