LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky Blood Center’s Livin’ by Givin’ Summer just got bigger than ever! Now in addition to all the other great giveaways this summer, like trips and concert tickets, donors have the chance to win a 2014 Toyota Corolla. Kentucky Blood Center is able to offer this great prize with help from Toyota on Nicholasville.
Summertime often means a dip in blood donations as people are busy with vacations and other activities. A look ahead at projected donations and transfusions shows the blood supply for Kentucky patients will take a sharp decline in July and August unless more donors make plans to donate, according to the Blood Center.
“This summer we planned more prizes and giveaways for donors than ever before and now we’ve made our summer that much bigger by adding the chance to win a car. We hope all the fun reasons to give blood will mean more donations and eliminate any chances of a blood shortage for Kentucky patients,” said Martha Osborne, KBC’s Executive Director of Marketing and Recruitment.
Those 18 and older who register to donate July through September will automatically be entered to win the car.
