Blood Donors Asked to Show Their Colors
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Blood donors will be rolling up their sleeves to prove they bleed Wildcat blue or Cardinal red during Battle of the Bluegrass, Aug. 22–Sept. 2.
During this annual Kentucky Blood Center promotion, which helps ensure a good blood supply heading into Labor Day weekend, all donors will receive a Battle of the Bluegrass T-shirt and a chance to win a pair of tickets to the Kentucky-Louisville football game on Sept. 17.
Everyone who registers to donate will also be entered to win a 2011 Toyota Tacoma, the big prize in KBC’s Pick Up the Blood Supply summer promotion that ends Sept. 16.
Donors will be asked to vote for one of the schools when they register to give blood.
