University of Kentucky students, staff and faculty can take an active part in Kentucky's annual rivalry with Florida during this year's Big Blue Slam Blood Drive on UK's campus Jan. 26–30.

The 18th annual blood battle encourages blood donations in the winter months when weather and illness can hinder collections.

Kentucky Blood Center will have several opportunities for donors to give blood. All donation locations on campus will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

  • Gatton Student Center (Ballroom A): Monday–Friday, Jan. 26–30
  • William T. Young Library (KBC Bloodmobile): Monday & Tuesday, Jan. 26 & 27
  • Lewis Honors College (Scholars Student Lounge): Thursday & Friday, Jan. 29 & 30
