LEXINGTON, Ky. – Giving blood is getting a whole lot more fun. Those who save a life May 21-23 at a Kentucky Blood Center donor center will be thanked with a free ticket to Kings Island.

This popular annual promotion helps to assure a strong blood supply heading into Memorial Day weekend and the beginning of the summer season.

“Kings Island is really kind to provide these free tickets for generous blood donors. It comes at a great time for us and helps with the beginning of summer. It also gives donors a fun way to kickoff the season,” said Martha Osborne, KBC’s Executive Director of Marketing and Recruitment.

Blood donated to KBC stays in Kentucky where it is processed and distributed to patients in Kentucky hospitals.

KBC donor centers are listed below.

To find a blood drive, schedule a donation or to get more information, visit kybloodcenter.org or call 800.775.2522. Walk-ins are also always welcome.
