USDA to Be Recognized for Donation of Community's New Bloodmobile Bus
PIKEVILLE, Ky. – On Thursday, Oct. 15 from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Kentucky Blood Center’s Pikeville Donor Center will host the Pike County Chamber of Commerce’s After Hours. During this event, attendees will be offered the opportunity to tour the new donor center, network, receive door prizes and enjoy refreshments.
In addition, KBC will recognize the United States Department of Agriculture for generously donating a new bloodmobile bus for community blood collections. Area Director Jimmy Hall, Area Specialist Ronnie Brooks and Acting State Director Vernon Brown will representative the local offices of the USDA that evening.
“The USDA has been a significant partner of Kentucky Blood Center, in Pikeville and throughout this region,” said KBC President and CEO William S. Reed. “We are very fortunate to have their continued support.”
