Kentucky Blood Center is proud to partner with the Catholics Care to create meaningful opportunities for Catholics to give back to the community and to fulfill Christ's command to heal the sick.
One in four people will need a blood transfusion in their lifetime for everything from traumas to cancer treatments, diseases, blood disorders, organ transplants, routine surgeries and so much more. Blood transfusions are one of the most common procedures performed in hospitals. One in seven people admitted to a hospital will need a blood transfusion.
Blood donation is easy, efficient and has a major impact. One whole blood donation – which only takes 45 minutes to an hour from registration to refreshment – can save up to three lives.
There are five upcoming opportunities this fall to donate at one of the diocese's parishes or schools. Please see below to schedule your appointment.
