Donor Appreciation Day: $20 Amazon Gift Cards on July 15 at Donor Centers

If you didn't get everything you needed during Amazon Prime Day last week, Kentucky Blood Center wants to help you complete your summer shopping. All you have to do is donate blood.

Donors who give blood at a KBC donor center on Tuesday, July 15 will receive a $20 Amazon gift card as a thank you for boosting the summer supply.

Blood donations historically dwindle during the summer because of warm-weather activities, family vacations and no school. The need for blood doesn’t take a break, however, and transfusion levels often increase as donation frequency decreases.

Blood donors must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health, show a photo ID and meet additional requirements.
