Clearing Cache for QuickPass Issue

KBC’s QuickPass portal was updated recently, which resulted in some occasional instances of the QuickPass barcode showing as expired when it should not be.  To help ensure QuickPass functions properly at your next donation, please follow the steps below to clear the cache and delete cookies for any device that you may have used to complete a QuickPass in the past month. 

NOTE: These steps will refresh all cache and cookies on the device for all users.

NOTE: Instructions may vary depending on the specific device and software version.  If these instructions do not work for your device, it may be helpful to do an internet search for how to clear the cache for your specific device.

NOTE: This will need to be completed on each browser used on your device to complete a QuickPass

To clear the cache on an iPhone or other Apple device:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Safari
      1. Scroll down and tap Clear History and Website Data, then select All history
  2. Confirm by tapping Clear History

To clear the cache on an Android device:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap App or Apps and notifications (varies by device)
  3. Choose the app for the web browser that needs to be cleared (e.g., Google Chrome, etc.)
  4. Tap Storage and Cache, then tap Clear Cache

To clear the cache on a computer using Microsoft Edge:

  1. From the browser window, click on the three horizontal dots in the upper right area of the screen, then select Settings
  2. Click on Privacy, search and services > Clear browsing data > Choose what to clear
  3. Ensure Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data are checked (other fields may also be checked, if desired)  
  4. Click Clear now

 To clear the cache on a computer using Google Chrome:

  1. From the browser window, click the three vertical dots in the upper right corner
  2. Click Delete browsing data
  3. Choose an applicable timeframe that will reach back to at least the time of your last successful use of QuickPass
  4. Ensure Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data are checked (other fields may also be checked, if desired)  
  5. Click Delete data
