Community Asked to Honor Bob Quick While Saving Lives
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Commerce Lexington Inc. and Kentucky Blood Center are partnering together to host a special blood drive on May 23 in honor of Bob Quick, Commerce Lexington President and CEO.
“Twelve years ago Commerce Lexington Inc. worked with Kentucky Blood Center representatives and elected officials at the state and federal levels to bring passage of legislation that helped modernize and expand the Center’s current facilities and footprint. Upon that decision, I did not realize the full impact the Kentucky Blood Center would have on me and countless others in our region today. When you give blood you are giving a very personal gift of life,” said Quick.
The Commerce Lexington Blood Drive in Honor of Bob Quick is Tuesday, May 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Commerce Lexington, located at 330 East Main Street. There will be free parking behind the building, as well as in the lot across the street (need location details).
“Bob is a great friend of the community and KBC. We appreciate him encouraging others to give blood to help Kentucky patients like him throughout the Commonwealth, and we look forward to his quick recovery,” said Bill Reed, Kentucky Blood Center’s President and CEO.
No appointments are necessary but can be made by visiting kybloodcenter.org and clicking on the Donor Login button at the bottom of the page or by calling 800.775-2522, ext. 3758.
