Donors Can Give Blood, Win One of Two Cars This Summer May 26, 2021

All KBC Donors Who Donate Between Now and Sept. 11 Will Be Entered to Win

The 2021 KBC "Summer Double Feature" gives donors the chance to win one of two cars.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – As Kentucky Blood Center continues to battle critical blood shortages that are plaguing centers across the nation, the nonprofit is hoping to motivate donors by giving away two great Toyota vehicles during its “Summer Double Feature.” KBC has given away a Toyota vehicle nearly every summer since 2008, but will give away two vehicles in 2021 to help with the great need for donations.

Blood donors who register to donate blood at a KBC mobile blood drive or any of the organization’s six donor centers now through Sunday, July 4 will be entered to win a 2021 Toyota C-HR. Donors can come back and donate again between July 5-September 11 and they will be entered to win a 2021 All-Wheel Drive Toyota Camry.

“This year has been unprecedented in so many ways, and blood centers across the country have felt the impact of COVID-19 in a very real way,” said Mandy Brajuha, Vice President of External Relations. “With donations from mobile blood drives coming in at just a fraction of normal levels, we are looking for ways to motivate donors to make life-saving donations. Demand for blood at our 70+ hospitals is greater than ever before and we are hoping this great summer giveaway brings out lifesavers in big numbers.”

KBC provides services in 90 Kentucky counties from Pikeville to Paducah, with donor centers in Lexington, Louisville, Pikeville and Somerset.

Donors may give at any KBC mobile blood drive or donor center to be entered to win the Toyota vehicles.
