LEXINGTON, Ky. – Because of his life-saving generosity, University of Kentucky Philosophy professor David Bradshaw received a new Toyota Corolla today.

When Bradshaw donated blood Aug. 19, he was automatically entered into Kentucky Blood Center’s Livin’ by Givin’ summer car giveaway. The promotion ran July 1 through Sept. 30 with more than 21,400 donors eligible to win.

“It’s good to help other people, and I have good veins,” said Bradshaw, a four-plus gallon donor, who typically gives blood at the Kentucky Blood Center Beaumont location.

KBC president and CEO Bill Reed presented the new Corolla to Bradshaw.

KBC offered the Toyota Corolla prize this summer with help from Toyota On Nicholasville.
