Donors Can Save a Life, Win a Free Trip!
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Giving blood this summer will not only help Kentucky patients live, it will also give donors a chance to win one of three great vacations – Disney, Las Vegas or the Mayan Riviera.
Kentucky Blood Center’s Livin’ by Givin’ summer campaign kicks off May 30 and runs through Aug. 31.
Each month those 18 and older who register to donate blood will be eligible to win one of three vacations. First up is a trip to the Magic Kingdom.
“This summer we are Livin’ by Givin’ at KBC,” said Martha Osborne, executive director of marketing and recruitment. “Blood donors share a priceless gift when they donate so we’d like to give them a chance to live it up at a great vacation spot. In June they can win a Disney trip. In July it’s Las Vegas and August is the Mayan Riviera.”
The trips will be awarded this summer, but the winner has up to 12 months to make the travel arrangements.
“Besides these great vacation giveaways, we’ll also be offering other fun prizes and events all summer long,” said Osborne. “We need to see more than 23,000 donors this summer to meet the need of the Kentucky patients we serve,” said Osborne.
The Disney and Las Vegas trips will be arranged through AAA Lexington while the Mayan Riviera trip to El Dorado Royale is provided by All Inclusive Outlet of Lexington.
