In celebration of America’s 250th birthday this summer, donors can show their patriotism by giving blood at Kentucky Blood Center. KBC is commemorating the United States Semiquincentennial with its “Red, White and Blue Bell” celebration May 22–July 4.

Donating blood is considered a profound act of patriotism. One in four people will need a blood transfusion in their lifetime for a wide range of treatments, but because blood cannot be manufactured, local patients rely entirely on the generosity of donors who selflessly donate to help others.
