It's a summer of blockbusters at Kentucky Blood Center, and you're the star of the show!
Heroes like you are needed to boost the summer blood supply. For your starring role in saving local lives, KBC will provide you with two movie tickets when you donate blood at a KBC donor center June 24–July 4. Continuing KBC's Red, White and Blue Bell celebration, donors will continue to receive a voucher for a free pint of Blue Bell Ice Cream as well. Donors can still get the "United We Give" T-shirt in lieu of the movie tickets upon request.
Blood donations historically dwindle during the summer because of warm-weather activities, family vacations and no school. The need for blood doesn’t take a break, however, and transfusion levels often increase as donation frequency decreases.

Blood donors must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health, show a photo ID and meet additional requirements.
